Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Avengers vs Crossbones n Crew: 3.5/5

Cap/Bucky vs Panther/Cops: 3.75/5

Bucky vs The World: 3.75/5

Airport Scene: 4.75/5

Iron Man vs Cap/Bucky: 4/5

This movie is excellent. As far as action goes, the airport scene is the best action scene in the history of superhero films. That's no hyperbole, I think that's going to be universally agreed on. That scene alone is worth the price of admission. And yet, every other action scene is good to great. In terms of action, this film can't be beat.

But I love it as a movie too. The characterization, the performances...this is an all around excellent film. The Russo brothers are masters of their craft. I'm not even a comic book fan, but between Spiderman, Black Panther and Ant-Man there were so many fun new interactions between these characters. And everyone was made to look good in this movie, everyone had something to do. Even Scarlet witch!

I can't decide if this or Avengers is the best MCU movie ever. They're both in my top 3 superhero movies of all time as it stands.

I love this movie. Highly recommended.

Deadpool (2016)

Deadpool vs Thugs in Car: 3/5

Wade vs Francis: 2.75/5

Deadpool vs Thugs Montage: 3.25/5

Colossus vs Angel Dust: 3/5

Deadpool vs Thugs: 2.75/5

Deadpool vs Ajax: 3.25/5

I really dug this movie. It's the most watchable superhero movie since Avengers, I thought. Action was solid, comedy was on point. Reynolds brought it. It probably would've been my favorite movie for a while if I were 16. As is, it's still quite great.

Recommended.

Daredevil Season 2 Episode 1: "Bang" (2016)

Daredevil vs Punisher: 3/5

Good episode, I love how we're not messing around and getting straight into the Punisher action. I'm in for this season.

Marvel's Daredevil Episode 9 "Speak Of The Devil" (2015)

Murdock vs Ninja, Part 2: 3.5/5

Murdock vs Ninja, Part 3: 3/5

Ass kicking Montage: 2.5/5

Murdock vs Ninja, Parts 1 and 4: 3.5/5

Murdock vs Fisk: 2.5/5

A lot of good action in this episode. Murdock's battle with The Ninja, if looked at as one collective fight, is the best fight in the series thus far besides the long take. Adding ninjas to most things make them more badass.

We also get our first taste of Murdock vs Fisk. Just a taste, I'm sure there's more to come.
